MEWP-THEORY-initial certification

Falls from Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) and accidents involving MEWP equipment can result in serious injury or death.  A common misconception is that Workers do not have to be trained in the safe operation of MEWP.  This is incorrect.

It is the Employer's duty to ensure any Worker operating any type of MEWP has received qualified training and instruction.  This includes both Theory and Practical, hands-on instruction.  Further, the onus is also on Supervisors to ensure Workers have a valid and current certificate for the the operation of any MEWP.

Our comprehensive one-day, in-class MEWP-THEORY training course is the first of its' kind in Ontario.  Providing participants with a comprehensive program that gives them the knowledge and skills to be able to safely operate a MEWP.  Ensuring operators understand their legal duties and responsibilities for compliance under the OHSA and Regulations.
