With courses offered each month, Employers have the convenience of ensuring all required training is completed without disruption to day-to-day operations.

The newest option for organizations is the one-day MHFA Essentials course. Ideal for Workers and frontline personnel, it focuses on scenario-based core principles, to help participants recognize the signs of mental health decline and provide initial support.

Course Overview

As a leader in Health and Safety education and training, our comprehensive, in-class Mental Health First Aid training course prepares participants to be able to recognize declining mental health situations. Emphasis is placed on Mental Health awareness and decision-making, support strategies and effective communication. Participants must successfully complete an online test to obtain their certification. Through classroom instruction and scenario-based training this course will cover:

Who Should Take This Course?

This course is designed for frontline Employees in all Sectors.  This course is ideal for Workers.  Upon successful completion, participants will receive a wall certificate and wallet card.  In addition, all participants receive complimentary academic tracking and re-currency reminder service.

Prerequisites

There is no prerequisite for this training course. 

Equipment Required

There is no training equipment required for this course. Participant training manuals and all required reading materials are included in the cost of the course.  Mandatory participant dress code is business casual.

Recurrency and Recertification

Participants will receive a Participation Certificate.  There is no recurrency training required for this course.
