JHSC MEMBER-PART 2 CERTIFICATION

Employers are required to ensure a designated number of JHSC members are certified and have completed mandatory training under the OHSA.  Providing those members with additional authority and powers when it comes to workplace Health & Safety. 


At TOTAL Safety Management, our Instructors have extensive knowledge and experience in the efficient operations of a JHSC.  With courses offered each month, Employers have the convenience of ensuring all required training is completed without disruption to day-to-day operations.

Our comprehensive two-day, Part 2 in-class JHSC certification training course focuses on applying the knowledge and skills learned in Part 1 of the JHSC certification course.  Providing participants with the knowledge and confidence to make effective decisions as a member of the workplace safety Team.

PART 2-CERTIFICATION


As a leader in Health and Safety education and training, our comprehensive, in-class training program includes the mandatory Provincial requirements for JHSC training.  This two-day course is a mandatory requirement for certification of JHSC members after the successful completion of Part 1.  Through classroom instruction and scenario-based training and testing this course will cover:

Who Should Take This Course?

This course is designed for frontline Workers to become a certified member of a JHSC.  Upon successful completion, participants will receive a wall certificate and wallet card.  In addition, all participants receive complimentary academic tracking and re-currency reminder service.

Prerequisites

Participants must have successfully completed the JHSC Part 1 training course.

Equipment Required

There is no training equipment required for this course. Participant training manuals and all required reading materials are included in the cost of the course.  Mandatory participant dress code is business casual.

Recurrency and Recertification

All certificates issued are valid for three years and must be renewed.  Included as part of all JHSC Certification training program is complimentary academic tracking and a re-currency training reminder service.
